Our bonus room is an interesting space because we have a small nook that is fairly deep. I knew we needed some sort of furniture that sat recessed in there so so that it wasn’t simply dead space. I decided to get creative with a sectional sofa and arrange it in a square configuration. Here is the one that I chose – it is by Castlery and can be arranged in a multitude of ways to best fit your space. We were able to fit it perfectly inside that awkward nook so that it looked more intentional than it truly was. I also knew from the beginning that I wanted to wallpaper the space too-the idea of our vertical shiplap mixed with a bold wallpaper really proved to add the subtle variation in texture that I was aiming for. I love shiplap on slanted ceilings- something about that design element makes me all sorts of giddy. I love Sandberg Wallpaper for all of their beautiful and bold patterns – this is the exact wallpaper we chose. I still have a picture to be hung- here is the one I ordered -it is on backorder but should arrive soon and of course a few more finishing touches but I really do love the way the space has come together. What do you think?
