If I had to narrow down the space in our home that we received the most questions about it would be our kitchen. I am so excited to have this space of the interwebs to be able to break down the nitty gritty of all the details and most frequently asked questions.
Let’s start from the top- our ceilings are 12ft. That is the height throughout the entire downstairs of our home. Our cabinet color is Sherwin Williams Pure White and all our cabinetry is custom made by a local cabinet company here in NC. Our hardware can be found here as well as most of the other hardware for bathrooms, etc.
Our countertops and backsplash are Calcatta Leon Quartz and were purchased locally here in NC. We opted for a seamless look for the backsplash-actually my husband’s design idea- and I could not love it more!
Our kitchen pendants are always a most loved design feature and the mercury glass is my favorite. They look beautiful on or off and despite appearances, are easy to clean with a swiffer standing on my island. You can find them here
Our wall color throughout our entire home is Sherwin Williams Snowbound and we chose matte white Cafe Appliances- y’all don’t judge me when I tell you that decision was based solely on aesthetics but we have been pretty pleased with them.
Our island is rift sawn white oak that is custom stained – I wish I knew the stain formula our carpenter used, but sadly I don’t and he doesn’t care to share it. The island measures 8’9 x 4’3 and has cabinets on both the front and back-highly recommend for storage!
We chose a farmhouse sink with a double basin – I know some people prefer separate areas but we have washed many a dirty toddler off in this sink and it fits dirty kiddos nicely.
Lastly, our flooring is Mohawk Perfect Manner Amulet LVP, which sadly has been discontinued but there are so many similar wide plank white oak options (ours are 8in) that you should be able to find a close match!
